I will guide you from start to finish and you will get notes on each technique.

Class will run approx. 2 hours.
Class size is limited.
I love teaching dye classes but my studio is too small to have students here and it is hard to find the appropriate location, but now because we can do classes by Zoom, my studio will be just the right size. The classes run approx. 90 minutes
Techniques will be, basic dyeing, stained glass/spot dyeing, painting on wool, swatches plus a couple of quick experiments. Dyeing and colour theory go hand in hand so each week I will discuss one aspect of the theory as it applies to dyeing and rug hooking. there will be comprehensive notes for each technique which will be emailed after each class and colour samples for the 3 dye companies will be mailed to each student.
If you think you would like to try this, email me and I will send you more information.
Dates: The classes will run 4 days over 2 weeks probably in Nov. The classes will be recorded so if you have to miss one it will be available after the class.
$160 includes the tax.
In these unusual times when classes have been cancelled you might want to try a Zoom workshop. Take a Walk in the woods with Tom Thomson and hook a Canadian masterpiece. The workshop is $40 and should run between 1 1/2 -2 hours. I will cover most of the material that I would in the regular class and will email you the class notes.
Patterns can be purchased before or after the class as can the wool, as part of a kit or seperately, to fill in gaps in your stash. Purchase of a pattern is not a requirment to take the class.
The date for the fall class will be announced in the next few days,
The next dates for the Beginner Workshop have been booked. Sept 21st &28th, 2019 at McMartin House in Perth.
