If you are interested in learning how to rug hook this is an in person workshop in Perth Ontario.
Tentative dates- Jan 12th and 19th. Since it is January we will book a snow date which could be the next day (Sunday) or the 26th of Jan. that will be worked out with the group that signs up.
Time-10-2
Cost $285 (includes HST)- 2 days of class, the kit which includes a 14 x 14 linen pattern, wool and supplies for finishing the pillow. A hook and hoop will be available for use for the 2 classes and week in between but are not included in the class fee. They will be available for purchase if required. The pillow insert is not included.
This is a 2 day workshop with a week in between classes for you to do some practice. Day one we will focus on getting your technique on the right path with demos and lots of individual time with the teacher. I will talk about the different equipment available, a bit of history of rug hooking. Day 2 we will review your progress and deal with any issues that came up, different rug styles will be shown and a demo of how to finish the pillow.
At this time all that is required is an indication of your interest, payment will be due Jan 5th. You have a choice of pattern, pictures are attached. Please indicate which pattern you would like when registering. The moose and sunflower are the least difficult with the hearts being a bit more challenging and the circles are the most difficult which would be suitable for someone who has pulled a few loops and wants to fine tune their technique.
Class size is limited to 12.
