Tip of the week/month, I was thinking I would share some things I have learned over the past 20+ years of rug hooking and teaching. not sure if it will be a weekly or monthly tip, I just have to see how it goes. Once of the best purchases I have made over the years was a Shamwow. You have probably seen them advertised on tv a great sponge for soaking things up. because it holds so much water it is really good for steaming your rug. I use a towel on the bottom and a well soaked Shamwow but not dripping, on the top, set the iron on linen, high steam and press away. Turn the rug and press on the other side. I do this before and after the finishing. I have found these towels at the flea market, dollar store (knock offs that work the same) and Canadian Tire, probably Walmart but I have not looked there. So first tip of the week/month done. Hopefully lots more to come. Stay well everyone. ... See MoreSee Less
